In 2018, Uber was the largest food delivery business in the world, with delivery taking between five and thirty minutes depending on the delivery method - by drone or by human.



"The U.S. Transportation Department said it chose 10 state, local and tribal governments and a handful of companies, including Alphabet Inc., FedEx Corp., Intel Corp., Qualcomm Inc. and Uber, to work together on commercial drone testing."



Uber's CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, said Uber has to be about mobility, not just cars. This came in a statement regarding Uber's other mobility programs including electric bikes and flying cars.


