matthew.warfield@boston.govMatt Warfield is a New Mobility Planner with the Boston Transportation Department where he works on programs that help the City meet its ambitious mode-shift and carbon neutrality goals. His work includes expanding access to shared vehicles, both large and small; preparing the City for a Zero Emission Vehicle program; implementing GoHubs!, Boston's version of the Mobility Hub; and developing curb management strategies to address the ever increasing demand for curb space.
Some of his exciting upcoming projects include the launch of an e-cargo bike pilot program working with small and minority owned businesses and completing the installation of 80 public EV charging plugs. Prior to arriving in Boston, Matt worked for the City of Baltimore where he helped launch their e-scooter share program, design and install safe bicycling infrastructure, and expand the demand-based parking meter rate program. He holds master degrees in social work and urban planning from the University of Michigan.
