Matt Channing is a first-year doctoral student in Regional Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Oregon. He spent the previous ten years earning his MPA and working in various roles in municipal and county government on the West and East Coasts. His work experiences motivated him to research local land-use policies and how to increase regional collaboration.
