Our session explores transformational changes to streets driven by changes in cultural and technological evolution. We’ll focus on current modifications to public space resulting from COVID, with an eye to emerging mobility and human centric design, looking at NACTO's Blueprint for AV Urbanism and a broader and flexible canvas for communities to author their future. We’ll discuss our recent streetscapes and public spaces plan for New York City’s Flatiron & NoMad district during COVID, and how to leverage emerging technologies such as A/V and data to enrich and dignify equitable, inclusive public spaces for the lives of all users.
