Leading Change – from Vision to Action
We live in a world facing unprecedented change and disruption… and that was before the global pandemic. Many of you are engaged in trying to make significant changes in your communities — from reducing greenhouse gas emissions to improving city infrastructure and the built environment — as well as in your personal travel choices, all while considering your safety and the safety of others.
Harriet Tregoning (NUMO) will guide us through a series of steps for leading change based on her experiences creating a national smart growth movement and reforming zoning, land use and transportation as planning director in Washington, D.C.; establishing a $1-billion national disaster resilience competition at the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and as director of NUMO, an alliance organization working to channel tech-based disruptions in urban transport to create joyful cities where sustainable and just mobility is the new normal. She will discuss how to build a constituency for the changes you need in your communities and plan for the future even during uncertain times.
