Kit Chiu has over eight years of experience in the transportation sector. Her experience spans from local level transportation planning and active transportation, to regional and provincial long range strategic planning and policy development. She actively works in the areas of urban mobility, congestion pricing, new mobility, and connected and automated vehicles, as well as foresight analysis and scenario planning. A big focus of her work is in exploring emerging trends, and ensuring that communities are well equipped to address changes on the horizon. Prior to joining WSP, Kit worked for Metrolinx in their Planning and Policy division, where she worked on the regional transportation plan and supported planning and analysis of rapid transit projects. She has also held past positions with different levels of government, including the Ministry of Infrastructure in their Infrastructure Policy and Planning Division, as well as the City of Hamilton in their active transportation team. Kit holds a Master of Applied Science degree in transportation engineering and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Planning from the University of Waterloo.
