Irene Balza is the Project Manager for Street Plans’ Miami office. Irene’s passion is to design cities and streets where communities can feel safe while walking, biking, taking transit, and driving. She has over seven years of experience working on urban design and mobility projects including road diets, Complete Streets, community engagement, design and policy guidelines, bicycle and pedestrian master plans, tactical urbanism, and asphalt art. In her time at Street Plans, Irene has worked with the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities Program and the Inter-American Development Bank to hold tactical urbanism workshops in Latin American cities.
