Bill has over twenty years of experience at the League ranging from membership and development to leading the League’s flagship Smart Cycling education and Bicycle Friendly America programs before being appointed Executive Director in 2017. A national leader in bicycle programming, planning, and policy, Bill has supported agencies, businesses, and organizations in taking Bicycle Friendly action, supported local and state advocates in their efforts, and contributed to bicycling policy development and planning guidance at all levels. As Executive Director, Bill has a passion for supporting the incredible staff, building stronger partnerships, and making the League more effective at building a bicycle-friendly America for Everyone. He holds a BA in History from the University of Florida and an MA from George Mason University.
